The dance and mythology workshops at Maskan Aat are continuing strong. The synergy of the core group of participants is amazing, with each woman bringing so much wisdom, compassion and laughter into the circle. We’ve also had guest-participants drop in at various times, including my mother who happened to be visiting on one of the workshop weekends – a most pleasant coincidence.
The first workshop in the autumn series begins next week, and I am happy to say that with the new women joining the group, the workshop is now officially ‘full.’
During the last two seasons, we’ve worked with various goddess & god myths. We began with the Greko-Romans: Hestia, Aphrodite & Hermes, Artemis & Dionysus, Demeter & Persephone, Athena, Zeus and Poseidon, Hera and Ares. And we moved on to the Egyptians with Isis – my all time favourite. The coming season will continue with Isis and lead to Inanna… or at least that’s the plan. I have to admit it sometimes changes. Sometimes a goddess or god just squeeze themselves in and I am obliged to let them.
